Range rules

The safety rules apply to everyone, on every line, every day: they are part of our range culture.

The four fundamental rules

  1. Treat every firearm as if it were loaded.

  2. Never point the muzzle at anything you are not willing to shoot.

  3. Keep your finger off the trigger until you have decided to shoot.

  4. Be sure of your target and what is in front of and behind it.

Additional rules

  • Never handle firearms under the influence of alcohol, medication or drugs.
  • Eye and ear protection must always be worn.
  • Never leave a firearm unattended.
  • Never shoot at hard surfaces or water.
